This week both boats have been trolling with one clear goal: tuna. Day after day, with hope intact and lines in the water, the anticipation of a great catch kept everyone alert on deck.
And the action was definitely there. On several occasions, the reels started screaming and adrenaline kicked in as tuna struck the hooks. Intense battles followed, some lasting several minutes or even longer, where angler and fish tested each other’s strength and endurance. Unfortunately, in many of those key moments, the hook came loose at the last second.
That’s fishing: unpredictable, exciting, and sometimes unforgiving.
Even so, the week was full of excitement and unforgettable moments for everyone on board. Some skipjack tuna were successfully landed, rewarding the effort and perseverance.
Now we look ahead with optimism to see what the coming week will bring. And if the big pelagics don’t show up… we’ll always return to reef fishing.
