We Prefer to Tag and Release All Billfish

CAVALIER

The crew, on our boat the Cavalier, are 100% supporters of the tag & release principle.

The boat is equipped with the latest equipment, such as Sonar, GPS, Radar, Plotter, VHF, etc. ......

The boat is a Cata 356 have a length of 12 meters and 4 meters wide and is also equipped with a toilet,

The Cavalier is powered by twin engines each 325 hp with a top speed of over 28 knots.

The wide and stable boat is ideal for a day trolling or bottom fishing.

THE CATCH

In the months October untill May is usually on the bottom or fishing on the reefs.

During this period there are very good opportunities for, morays, breams, snappers, jacks, garfish, Atlantic bonitos, congers and many other different species

The rays can vary in weight between 10 to up to 300 pounds each.

All rays and sharks are immediately released.

In the months February, March and April there is also a good possibility of catching albacore, bigeye and yellowfin Tuna

The months May untill October are the best for the real big game fishing.

These are the best months for catching blue and white marlin, spearfish, wahoo and dorado.

Spanish law prohibits the sale of fish caught by anglers.

Our boats release all blue and white marlin, spearfish, sharks and rays immediately after the catch.

All other fish caught belong to the crew and are intended for personal use (family, friends)

If you like to keep some fish please ask the crew before departure.

PART CHARTER 9.00 a.m - 15:00 p.m

The Part Charter is the most common reservation and also the cheapest way to spend a day sport fishing. (before called Individual trip)

On the Part Charter we fish with up to 12 fishing rods.

You can fish on a Part Charter with one, two or three fishing rods.

One person - fishing with 1 rod:

The price for fishing with 1 rod is 60 euros.

One person - fishing with 2 rods:

a: When trolling we guarentee 1 rod for (marlin, tuna) + 1 rod (bonito, dorado, wahoo)

b: When bottom fishing you have a price advantage of 10 euros ( all rods are the same)

The price for fishing with 2 rods is 110 euros.

One person - fishing with 3 rods:

a: When trolling we guarentee 1 rod for (marlin, tuna) + 2 rods (bonito, dorado, wahoo)

b: Every fisherman who fishes with 3 rods may take one spectator for FREE.( normal price 50 euro) (spectators may not fish)

The price for fishing with 3 rods is 180 euros.

It remains with the Part Charter at all times the daily decision of the captain whether to go trolling or fish on the bottom.

The number of persons aboard the Part Charter will be a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10. (including spectators)

The exact number is determined by the number of anglers which are fishing with two or three rods. So the numbers vary on a daily basis

Included in the price of the Part Charter are some sandwiches and 1 cold drink per person.

There are also available on board, cool drinks for 1 euro each.

Also you can have a day with us as a spectator to enjoy a few hours sun on a spacious sundeck.

Often there are large schools of dolphins, whales, flying fish and turtles to be seen.

The price for an adult spectator is 50 euro.

Fishing juniors up to 12 years pay 50 euro, Junior spectators 40 euro.

FULL CHARTER

The Full Charter, often called Private Charter is specifically for the fishermen who prefer to enjoy a day fishing with family or friends and to have the boat at their own disposal.

On this trip it is the choice of the client to go trolling or bottom fishing.

A mix of bottom and trolling is only possible when the boat is booked for 8 or more hours.

The number of persons aboard a Full Charter may be from 1 to 10.

The number of hours may be adjusted as shown below.

3 hours	15.00 pm - 18.00 pm	300 euro
4 hours	15.00 pm - 19.00 pm	400 euro
5 hours	15.00 pm - 20.00 pm	500 euro
6 hours	09.00 am - 15.00 pm	600 euro
7 hours	08.00 am - 15.00 pm	700 euro
8 hours	09.00 am - 17.00 pm	800 euro
9 hours	09.00 am - 18.00 pm	900 euro
10 hours	09.00 am - 19.00 pm	1000 euro

On Full Charters over 6 hours sandwiches and 10 cool drinks are included in the price.

There are on board also cool drinks available for 1 euro each.

THE SMALL PRINT

All prices mentioned above are online prices and 10 to sometimes 20% cheaper than our harbour prices.

No further discounts are available.

The Departures

The standard departure times of the sport fishing boats are from 9.00 am to 15.00 pm.

In the summer there are regular Part Charters from 15.00 pm to 20.00 pm.

If your booked fishing trip is cancelled due to: engine failure, sickness of the crew, bad weather,............etc

Then I will do everything to replace your booked trip to another boat or the afternoon trip from 15.00 - 20.00 pm.

If these options are not available then with mutual agreement we will try for another date.

Transport

Only anglers NOT staying in Puerto Rico can use our transfer service.

Our transport service picks you up at 8 a.m at reception of your holiday accommodation and will take you back after your fishing trip.

Places which are eligible are: Bahia Feliz, San Agustin, Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas, Meloneras, Playa Taurito and Puerto de Mogan.

The transport cost 10 euros per person.

If you are interested in our Release Me - Merchandise (t.shirts - vests - caps - marlin pendants) then you can also order through our reservation form.

The Payment

For reservations below 1000 euro we don't ask for a deposit.

For reservations over 1000 euro we ask for a deposit of 25% of the total amount within 10 days of the booking.
