Part Charter - Shared Charter

Part Charter - Shared Charter - Cavalier & Blue Marlin Sport Fishing Gran Canaria

9:00 a.m. - 15:00 p.m.

The Part Charter is the most common reservation and also the cheapest way to spend a day fishing.
On the Part Charter it's common to fish with 1, 2 or 3 rods per person (more is also possible).
Each fisherman who has booked for 3 rods can take one SPECTATOR for FREE

It remains with the Part Charter at all times the daily decision of the captain whether to go trolling or fish on the bottom.
The number of persons aboard the Part Charter will be a maximum of 10. (including spectators).
The exact number is determined by the number of anglers which are fishing with two or more rods.
So the numbers vary on a daily basis.
Included in the price of the Part Charter are some sandwiches and 1 cool drink per person.
There are on board also cool drinks available for acceptable prices.

Also you can have a day with us as a spectator to enjoy a few hours sun on our spacious sundeck.
Often there are large schools of dolphins, whales, flying fish and turtles to be seen.

Full Charter - Private Charter

9:00 a.m. - 15:00 p.m.

The Full Charter, often called Private Charter is specifically for the fishermen who prefer to enjoy a day fishing with family or friends and to have the boat at their own disposal.

On this trip it is the choice of the client to go trolling or bottom fishing.
A mix of bottom and trolling is only possible when the boat is booked for 8 or more hours.
The number of persons aboard a Full Charter may be from 1 up to 6.
The number of hours may be adjusted from 5 up to10 hours.

On Full Charters over 5 hours, sandwiches and some cool drinks are included in the price.

Family Charter

Family Charter - Cavalier & Blue Marlin Sport Fishing Gran Canaria

15:00 p.m. - 18:00 p.m. or 15:00 p.m. - 19:00 p.m.

Five or more hours on a boat, is usually for the youngest among us, just too long, so especially for them we have our Family Charter.

On the 3 or 4 hour family charters we are fishing on the bottom in the winter months.
We are fishing with lighter rods for Sea Bream, Atlantic Bonitos, Redfish, Garfish, Rays.......etc.

In the summer months, trolling is usually done.
Possible catches could be Wahoo, Skipjack Tunas and Dorados.

Also seeing Dolphins, Water Turtles, Flying Fish and maybe even a Whale is possible on these charter.s

Our Family Charters are daily and start at 3pm and last until 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm.
Booking in advance is definitely recommended!

Hotel transfers are included in our prices and of course also a cooled drink on the boat.
Bringing extra food or drinks is no problem.

Big Game Tournaments

In Gran Canaria, 3 big game tournaments are fished, every year.
During these tournament days, a maximum of 6 fishermen are fished on the boats.

In the first week of July, Puerto Rico competes for the Corona Cup.
The Puerto Rico Tournament is held annually in the third week of July.
The Pasito Blanco Tournament will be fished in the fourth week of August.
The Las Palmas Tournament will be fished in the third or fourth week of October.
Would you like to participate in one of the above tournaments, alone or with some friends, please let me know?

The Catch

The Catch - Cavalier & Blue Marlin Sport Fishing Gran Canaria

In the months November untill May is usually on the bottom or fishing on the reefs. During this period there are very good opportunities for, morays, breams, snappers, jacks, garfish, Atlantic bonitos, congers and many other different species. The rays can vary in weight between 10 to up to 300 pounds each.

In the months March and April there is also a good possibility of catching skipjacks, albacore, bigeye, yellowfin and bluefin tuna.

The months May untill November are the best for the real big game fishing. These are the best months for catching blue and white marlin, spearfish, wahoo and dorado. Want to know exactly which fish are around the Canarian waters in your vacation? You can visit our Hall of Fame

Spanish law prohibits the sale of fish caught by anglers. Our boats release all blue and white marlin, spearfish, sharks and rays immediately after the catch. All other fish caught belong to the crew and are intended for personal use,
If you like to keep some fish, you can ask the crew before departure.
