188 ton Bluefin Tuna

Commercial fishing boats in the Canary Islands needed this year only a few days to catch a total of 188,000 kilos Bluefin Tuna.
This was also the entire quota of 2017.

This quota does not apply to the sport fishing which, unless of course they release the bluefin, are allowed to fish on it.

Unfortunately were the catches for the sport fishing boats this week not overwhelming.
But as any angler will surely know, there are still good and bad fishing days.
Tomorrow another chance.
