1st day of the Big Game Tournament Puerto Rico 2014

Today we fished the first day of the two-day Big Game Tournament in Puerto Rico
This annual event has been fished for the 29th time.
There were 32 participating boats.

The catches were downright bad.
There has been only one Blue Marlin caught and released, namely by the Black Marlin boat.
There were also some Spear fish and White Marlins hooked but these were all lost.
The Cavalier had missed also of Spear fish today.

We received very good catch reports from La Gomera where today 8 Blue Marlins were caught.
Hopefully tomorrow we have some more luck, if not surely the next week..
