29/5 - 1/2 Blue Marlin

A great start to this new week resulted on the Cavalier, in 2 bites of Blue Marlin, one of which was caught.

Around 12.30 pm we suddenly had a marlin behind the lures. A quick bite, a few meters of line, and our mate was gone. Shame.

It lasted 5 minutes, after which a second bite followed.
Same fish, different....?
Doesn't matter. In any case, this one was hooked well.

In the fighting chair, Jos Kuiper got the job done today.

Jos needed about 45 minutes to fish this beautiful fish next to the boat, where Abraham released it neatly, after taking some amazing pictures.
Weight was estimated to be approximately 550lb/250kg.
