AGAIN A 500 LBS MARLIN !

The Blue Marlin 3 fished this morning on the reef of Arguineguin. The captures were moderate.

Very happy was the young fisher who caught a good sized baracuda. (photo here besides)
There were caught also some small skipjacks.

More luck with the trolling fishing today.
The Cavalier hooked up this morning with a blue marlin, which fish took a run of more than 500 meters. Unfortunately this marlin slipped off.

Twenty minutes later, the crew reported a double marlin strike. The first of these two marlins was lost.
The second was hooked on the 80 lbs rod of the Dutch fisherman Marco van Olst.
Marco did what he had to do and landed the blue marlin besides the boat.
The fish was estimated by the crew on a weight between 450 and 500 lbs.
Of course this blue marlin is tagged and released.
Congratulations again to Marco and the crew.

Tomorrow, starts the yearly Pasito Blanco Big Game Tournament.
The tournament days will be 28, 29 and 30 August.
