Beware of the Weever Fish !

The 1st of May was today in the South of Gran Canaria, a brilliant sunny and almost windless day.
The boat Cavalier fished with their customers on the shallow reef, where outside the many dozens of seabreams also some North Atlantic Bonito's and a beautiful Barracuda was caught.

Small dip for this boy, who has been fishing in the Canarian waters since 1986.
I have warned in those 32 years many hundreds of anglers about the Weever fish venom.
Today it was my turn due to carelessness.
Fucking shit what does that hurt terribly.

I already see the faces of my `best` friends and anglers laughing, but despite a little bit of bad luck, I really do not wish them this either.
After half an hour of infusion, the pain has happily gone as well as left.

With extra thanks for Cees and Petra Pipping and Marco Bos with his daughter, the latter who managed to catch on light tackle a good sized 8 kilos of Sierra Tuna.

Tomorrow we have another day, so who knows what we will catch again.
