BIG EYE TUNA EXPLOSION

The end of a still completely crazy Canarian big game season, is fortunately still not in sight.

Between the great catches of Blue and White Marlins and the many Spear fishes, reported the crew of the EXPLORAMAR this morning that they had found a school with Bigeye Tunas
Woooooooow that's power fishing !!!!!.
The weights of these hundreds of jumping and feeding big eyes were estimated by the crew between 70 and 90 kilos each.
It only took a few minutes until they hooked in with 2 of these strong fighters.

Freek Morees hooked up on a 50 Shimano rod and reel and fought 'stand-up` about 75 minutes with his dreamfish.
A second Big Eye Tuna was there for the `only` 12 years old angler Remco Bosman.
Remco landed his fish in less then 50 minutes. on a 80 lb rod and reel.
Both Tunas were weighting 85 kilos each.

Also the crew and fishermen on board of the boat CAVALIER were in topconditon again. !!
After their successful trips of the last two days, they tagged and released again this morning 2 beautiful Spearfishes

The lucky anglers came both from England.
The 1st Spearfish was caught this morning by Andy Sumpter.
And it was Richard Kern who released 30 minutes later the 2nd one.
The two youngest anglers, Eric and Felix Ettunger from Austria caught both a Skipjack Tuna.
