MARLIN EXPLOSION


The last two weeks, we can talk here in Gran Canaria, about a true Marlins Explosion.
Almost every day we can report, a hook up or a good strike with a Blue or White Marlin, on one or both of the boats CAVALIER or EXPLORAMAR.
Also today there has been released 2 Blue Marlins.

Peter Zeestraten from Holland, who released 3 days ago a 280 kg Blue Marlin, was today on board of the CAVALIER again the luckiest fisherman.
It was again, at 12.30 p.m, Peters lure which was taken by a Blue Marlin.
Peter needed 40 minutes to bring his catch besides of the boat.
The crew estimated Peters` Marlin this time at a weight of 220 kg.

Also the fishermen on the EXPLORAMAR had a great fishing day.
It was here on board angler Richard Gwynn-Jones from the United Kingdom who tagged and released a 150 kg Blue Marlin.
On the Exploramar this morning also a double strike with Albacore Tuna.
Unfortunately that one of these strong fighters was lost.
The other one, a 11,2 kg Albacore, was caught by Glen Brimble.
