A commercial fisherman has found off the coast of Meron in Villaviciosa (Asturias - North West Spain)), a dead specimen of an approximately 80 kilos Giant Squid, one of the world's most mysterious animals.

The animal drove in front of the beach and has been for further research taken to the port of Gijon

Giant Squids are born from a gelatinous spiral with a length of two millimeters and grow up to 1 centimeter per day until they are to 4 years old.

The eye of this Squid is the largest of its kind and can reach a diameter of 22 centimeters.
