Large schools of yellow fin tuna

Yellowfin tuna.

Again plenty of big game excitement here in the south of Gran Canaria.

Some boats found this morning a large school with Yellowfin tuna.
Also the Cavalier was in the middle of this school.
They hooked up twice.

The first fish took over 300 meters line of the screaming reel, but unfortunately we lost the fish again.
The second hook up was on the rod of a Norwegian fisherman
But also his fish spit out the hook and disappeared again.
What a bad luck!

The Greek fisherman Cheretis caught on this trip a 17 kg Wahoo.
One of the other sport fishing boats was more successful and returned into the harbour with a 90 kg Yellowfin.

Also the Blue Marlin 3 missed this morning a hook up of Yellowfin Tuna.
