A Niles man caught a 52-pound flathead catfish in Cass County on Sunday.
That is according to the Detroit Free Press.

Dale Blakely and his friends were fishing for bluegill and crappie when he caught the massive fish.
It beat the previous state record for flathead catfish by more than two pounds.

Blakely said it took an hour to get the fish out of the water.
