Over 40.000 Kg Albacore Tuna

You read it quite right !!!!!!!
And this 40.000 kilos is only an estimate of the total catch which were done today, by the professional fishing boats.
One professional boat spoke on the radio from a catch of more than 5300 kilos. Whooooooow on only one boat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So you can really speak about an Albacore explosion in South of Gran Canaria !!!

But it's unfortunately not easy for the sport fishing boats to catch them.
The Spanish law tells us that a sport fishing boat has to stay, a half mile away, from the professional fishing boats
Also live-bait fishing is not allowed by the sport fishing boats.

It was morning Peter Anderstedt from Sweden who caught a 18 kilo Albacore on the lure.
