1ST BLUE MARLIN TAGGED

The first blue marlin in Gran Canaria of the year 2007 was tagged and released again by the boat Blue Marlin 3.

Every year it gives me a very good feeling to write this great news.
It's because the Blue Marlin 3 is still the only boat on Gran Canaria that tag and release all billfish.
When starts the competition for the Blue Marlin 3 for this way of fishing?

The competition between the other 'sportfishing` boats is a lot bigger.
Maybe it is more difficult to KILL a fish ???

It was today Leo van de Barselaar from Holland who was fighting about 55 minutes with this super fish.
His blue marlin had a length of 350 centimeter and had a weight of 600 till 650 lbs.

Well Done Leo and Congratulations again from the crew with this great fish.
