Puerto Rico - 18.00 o`clock
3 BOATS - 6 BlUE MARLIN STRIKES

Four of these blue marlin strikes came at the same time on the boat Cavalier.

I had before,on the Blue Marlin 3, different times a `double strike` and ones a I had a 'three strike`, but Four Blue Marlins At Once !!!!!

In June 2004 I hooked up at once 5 spearfishes and I remember that we caught 4 of them.
But 4 blue marlins at the same time.......
This was also for me the first time in 22 years, since I`m doing the big game fishing.

The crew spotted these 4 marlins about 12.00 P.M behind the lures.

I couldn't believe my own eyes.
Incredible, this was really a great spectacle.

Only a fews seconds later we hooked up with 4 blue marlins.
Two of them took about 25 meters of line and were directly gone again.
With the last two we start fighting.
But after a couple of minutes, marlin number 3 starts jumping, and also this one we lost.

Our guest and client today was David Lynch who had chartered together with his family the boat Cavalier.
David was fighting about 15 minutes with `blue marlin number 4`, before we could release his 180 kilo fish.

We from Blue Marlin Sport Fishing like to congratulate our client David Lynch and of course also the crew Abraham and Hafid again, for releasing another blue marlin.

Also a lot of activity today on the boat Blue Marlin 3.
The crew informed us at 10.00 A.M that they hooked up with a blue marlin.
Bad luck because also this fish was lost after a few minutes.

More luck on this boat at 14.00 P.M.
From a 'three strike` of Dorado they caught two of them.
The lucky fishermen were P Boogaard and A.C Claasen, both from Holland.

On the boat White Marlin there were caught today some good sized skipjack tuna.
Also on this boat they lost a strike from a blue marlin.

There are 8 charter boats who are leaving daily the harbours of Puerto Rico.
All these big game boats are looking after tuna and marlin.
During the season 2007 there are here in Gran Canaria still many blue marlins caught.

The 3 charter boats who caught the most blue marlin as so far in 2007 are:

1: Cavalier
2: White Marlin
3: Blue Marlin
