Quiet fishing week Cavalier & Blue Marlin Sport Fishing Gran Canaria

Written by:

After the great catches of the previous two months, in which the Cavalier caught lots of Albacore, Bigeye and Bluefin Tuna were the catches this week very poor.

This week began with three days of strong winds, which made the trolling nearly impossible.
But the last four, quiet and sunny days, were the boats not successful.

Between the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria the commercial boats are catching daily a few tons of Albacore Tuna.

But with wave heights of 4 till 8 meters and a distance of more than 40 nautical miles from Puerto Rico is this fishing spot unfortunately impossible for our fishing boats.

So we continue to hope that the large schools of baitfish itself will move and brings the tuna back to Gran Canaria
