TOURNEMENT DAY 2

The disappointment was great when I got a call last night from Roland Spierings, saying that he could not fish, the second and final day of the tournement,
Medical problems were causing this.

So the second day was fished by Freek Morees and myself.
At 11 a.m we located a small Spearfish between te lures, but this one was only interested to play after which she disappeared

Also for the other participating fishing boats was this second day of fishing fairly quiet.
But it's never too late and at 16 p.m, only 30 minutes before the end.......................?
We were suddenly surprised by a school of hundreds of small dorado's who jumped with graceful leaps between our lures.
This beautiful and fascinating scene was followed by a double hook-up.

First we thought to have a double strike Spearfish or White Marlin, but when both fishes went to the depth it was soon clear that these were 2 tunas.
We ended this second day of fishing off satisfactorily and 10 minutes later we had two nice big Albacores in the boat.

If the pictures taken today are approved by the competition committee then the final standings of the Puerto Rico Tournement 2013 looks as follows.

1: Londos 1 blue 2 white marlin
2: Hedonist 1 blue marlin
3: North Shore 2 white marlin

Congratulations to these boats with this great result.

Hans
